Well 3D puzzles are what they are called. The Hobby CNC community makes lots of these 3D puzzles, from dinosaurs to plants to insects, to doll houses, to Mack trucks. Anyway, these are butterflies. They are about 11 inches long. I need to think how to finish them.
Big Money!
Making big money with my CNC machine now! A project from the Vectric folks. I carved this in Maple and finished it with Silver metal paint and black was to bring out the relief carving. The base is Beech wood. It's a bank but I don't have any money to put into it!
Wooden Nickel
I made another "Wooden Nickel" from Beech. I love the look of Beech finished this way. The photo does not do it justice.
Fishing
How about a Bass fish from Beech wood. I combined the fish and the rope files to create this. It is 10 inches in diameter.
Art
This is a bas-relief of a butterfly and maybe a wheat bundle or flowers from a vase. The size is 14 x 21 inches with a half inch relief. The file I got from the internet.
Art
This one I created myself. I got pictures of the pinapple and the pegsus horse from the web. I then created the relief with Aspire software. The size is 15 x 30 inches with a half inch relief.
Elephant March
The Elephant March! Another one created by me. I got an elephant line drawing from the internet and created the relief myself. The sze is 38 x 8 inches with a half inch relief. I replaced a panel on my desk with this carving.
Welcome
A "Welcome" sign for a friend's new home. The horses are a composite of two other 3D horses. I liked the hind legs of one horse and the front of another. I merge them together to come up with these. The sign is 13 X 18.5 inches with 0.5 relief. Made from Beech wood (of course) and finished with polyurethane.
Fine Art
I got the relief file of the woman from the internet and I created the borders myself. Size is 16 x 20 inches with a half inch relief.

More Fine Art
A Roman Chariot! I found the .stl file on a free CAD site. Wish I could create something like this myself easily.
